Book of Exodus

The book of Exodus is a design for deliverance... but it is not complete without Leviticus.

In Exodus there are the two big feasts of Passover and Pentecost: The feasts of pilgrimage of the Jews, when every Jew went up to Jerusalem to celebrate it for a week.

1- The Passover: (Exodus, chapters 1 to 15):

It always include both the deliverance from the slavery of Egypt, and the pass of the Red See... and we can learn some lessons for our deliverance of demons and sicknesses:

    - The deliverance from Egypt with the Blood of the Lamb is Calvary.
    - The pass of the Red See, is our resurrection in Christ to a new life... in Baptism!.

1- It took 430 years of prayers of the people of Israel until it was delivered... so, when you have a storm in your life, pray with perseverance.
The promises of the Bible, "the sick shall be healed" and "cast out the devil" of Mk.1:17-18, don't say the time nor the way they will be done. They don't say the sick will be healed immediately or in 5 years... and it doesn't say it will be done with a miracle...
When you have a storm in your life God always answers your prayers with a big YES, but in one of these two ways:
        - Either God calms the storm, the sickness, the alcohol, the prostitution, the problem...
        - Or God calms you, and you are going to pass the storm in peace and even with joy... you may even go to Heaven for ever with that sickness... and I will say it is a nice way for God to answer your prayer!.

    2- The Pharaoh and Moses:
In the Biblical account, Pharaoh is the hand of the devil to slave you, Moses is the hand of God to deliver you... you can be sure in your live you are going to have many Pharaohs... but also you are going to have all the Moses you may need, praise the Lord!.

3- You will have "your Moses"!:
Yes, for your deliverance, God is going to send you a Moses... may be a person who prays for you, a doctor, a neighbor who helps you...
That's why the Bible says: "Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord" (James 5:14)... get a Moses!.
For the Catholics, when they go to Confession, a priest can not absolve the sins of himself, is got to be another priest... even the Pope confess his sins to another priest... "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." (Jam.5:16).

4- You and I have to be "another Moses" for other persons:
When you bring your child to Baptism... you are the Moses of that child. When you help a relative or a friend to go to Church, you are the Moses of that relative or friend...
Please look at If you are a Christian... you must cast out devils, and heal the sick!... Deliverance - Healing
The Lord will have to prepare us as he did with Moses, who lived 120 years:
        - The first 40 years he lived thinking he was "somebody", the son of the Pharaoh!.
        - The next 40 years he lived thinking he was "a nobody", the shepherd of his father in  law sheep.
        - The last 40 years, when he was humble, he lived discovering what a nobody can do with God, delivering the whole People of God!.

    5- Miracles... and our work!:
    - God maid many miracles to deliver his people: The ten plagues of Egypt, the column of fire, the opening of the Red See...
    - But they had to walk it out, with their belongings and cattle and birds... God didn't made the miracle of lifting them up in the air to bring them across the Red See... they had to walk it out!... we have to live our lives!, praise the Lord!.
Of course, God could have made a full miracle, to lift all of them up to the clouds!... but that would have been an extra-ordinary way... the ordinary way, the normal and regular way, is the way of the Passover.

6- The Blood of the Lamb:
Chapter 12 of Exodus is the tallest pinnacle of the Old Testament, as Calvary is in the New Testament.
We always need the Blood of the Lamb to be delivered of our sins, our sickness, our bad habits... just faith in Christ!... so simple, but the most important tool in every thing in our lives... every minute, faith in the Blood of the Lamb, who is going to save us of any plague... may be using a Moses, but it is the Blood of the Lamb!.

7- When there is no way out?:
Then, and always, trust in the Lord!... the Israelites were in front of a See, and behind they had the Egyptian army to kill them... they had no way out... but God saved them from both:
    - God protected them from the army with the column of fire... the horses could not pass through it!
    - And the Red See?... "Moses said to the people, "Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will work for you today; for the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again." (Ex.14:13)... and God opened up the Red See for the Israelites, and all the Egyptian army drowned into the Red See, even with their horses.
Don't you ever forget this verse 14:13!.

8- After the Victory... feast with songs of praise:
After the pass of the Red See, they sang with joy this Song to the Lord: "Then Moses and the people of Israel sang this song to the LORD, saying, "I will sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea. The LORD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him..." (Ex.15).
Every day we should sing with joy the Song of praise to the Lord... because every day of us is a victory in Jesus Christ, praise the Lord!.

    2- Pentecost: (Exodus, chapters 18 to 40):

Pentecost is 50 days after the Passover, which includes also two facts:
1- God gave the Law to Moses, the Ten Commandments... (Exodus, chapters 18 to 24).
2- God gave to Moses the Tabernacle (Exodus, chapters 25 to 40).

We also need our Pentecost!... to Moses God gave the laws written in stone... to us, in the New Pentecost of Acts 2, God gives us the Law written in our hear and our mind... with Jesus within us, by the power of the Spirit, praise the Lord!.

Without our Pentecost we can go nowhere!... but with Jesus in our heart we can be another Christ, and do the same things Jesus did, and even greater ones!, tells us Jesus (Jn.14:12)...
... And we also need the permanent presence of God in the Tabernacle in the midst of the People of God.

Book of Leviticus:

Without the book of Leviticus the deliverance of Exodus is incomplete.

Leviticus is the book of Holiness, which is the true and complete deliverance... and, in this book, God not only tells us to be holy as he is holy, but also he gives us the tools to be holy: An altar, a sacrifice, and a priest to offer it.

"You are to be holy to me because I, the LORD, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own" (Lev.20:26).

Leviticus sounds not exiting, but it is a very important one. It is called Leviticus, from the Tribe of Levi, the Tribe of the Priests, it is the book of the Priests, Leviticus.

    It shows us interesting things:
1- The different sacrifices (chapters 1 to 7)... and the way the priests should be (8 to 10).
2- The Jewish Feasts (chapters 23 o 25), because holiness involves lots off feasts and joy, here on earth!.
3- The way to eat, to enjoy a healthy live on earth, the Kosher! (chapters 11 to 22).
4- And ends up relating the rewords and punishments of God to those who live according to his laws or those who trespass them (chapters 26 to 27).

But the heart of Leviticus is the altar, the sacrifices, and the priests to offer it... an altar, a sacrifice, and a priest is the heart of Judaism and of Christianity... the tools to become Holy as God is Holy!, praise the Lord!.

Today, Judaism has no altar, no sacrifices, no priests... as it was prophesied by Daniel and Isaiah it will happen after the coming of the Messiah... it only has Rabies (teachers) and synagogues... no temple!... there is no need for a temple, because there is no tabernacle, no altar, no sacrifice, no priest...
Judaism has been left with morals (bones and flesh), but no heart (no sacrifice).

It is also a pity that many Christian Denominations have no altar, no sacrifice, no priest... the destruction of the eternal sacrifice will be the very first act of the Antichrist of the end of times!.. and, of course, if there is no sacrifice, there is no need for altar nor priests... so, many denominations have only teachers and preachers, but no priests... and no real temples, because they don't have tabernacles, the presence of God is not there (Matt.24:15, Dan.8:11-19, ,9:26-27, 11:31, 12:11).

Book of Numbers:

The book of Numbers completes the teachings of deliverance.

Even if you are holy as God is holy, you still have to wrestle with the flesh the world and the devil, while you are on earth, before entering the promised land, Heaven!... (Eph.6:12).

Numbers is the other great feast of the Jews: The Tabernacles... the wondering in the desert for 40 years.

We have to be ready for it, even to the last minute of our lives on earth!.

The life of a Christian, as of any person, is a life of struggle... but the life of a Christian is full of hope, the same hope you have when you pass a bridge and you are sure the bridge is not going to fall down!... because we have the altar, the sacrifice, the priest, the permanent tabernacle, and we have Jesus in our heart, by the power of the Spirit, for the glory of the Father, for the good of the Church, and for our own good, praise the Lord!...

... Anf thank you, Jesus, also, for the Moses in my life... let me be a Moses for someone else. Thank you Lord.
